The Paid Apprenticeship Program: Earn While You Learn

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED

Through our 1,800-hour paid apprenticeship program, you’ll gain the skills and values essential to becoming an inclusive, community-centered hairdresser. We believe in helping every person feel seen, celebrated, and confident in their natural beauty. As an apprentice, you’ll learn to:

• Empower Confidence: Help clients appreciate and embrace their beauty.

• Deliver High-Quality Care: Guide clients on hair and scalp care.

• Explore Color with Vision: Transform clients' hair with practical, modern color techniques.

• Thrive in Community: Work in a team-centered, supportive salon environment.

Licensed Career Pathways

• Assistant Salon Residency (ASR): In this initial 4-6 weeks, gain foundational knowledge in salon operations, host and assistant responsibilities, and basic wash and style techniques.

• Salon Residency Program (Levels 1-3): Deepen your expertise in technical, client service, and Wholehearted Hairdressing, preparing you for a career of impact and growth.

• Stylist Levels and Specializations: Progress and specialize in areas like cutting, color, or texture, while building a client base.

• Leadership and Educational Roles: With experience, explore opportunities to coach, lead, or instruct, impacting the next generation of stylists.

Wholehearted Training: Technical, Professional, and Personal Development

Our holistic training program encompasses:

• Technical Skills: Advanced cutting, styling, color techniques, and special occasion styling.

• Professional Growth: Small business education, brand development, communications, and leadership skills.

• Personal Development: Access resources for mental health, financial literacy, self-acceptance, and community connection.
